Topics you’ll cover
Day 1. FUTURE
Looking into the future
Imagine that you can play with the solutions from the future and explore how they would implement our reality. During this session, we will look at the future and global trends that are associated with it. We will talk about technologies and solutions that can help you operate in various strategic, business and artistic projects and better understand what lies ahead.
Day 2. FORESIGHT
Foresight – forecasting the future
Foresight and forward-looking thinking plays an increasingly important role in cities. It can broaden perspectives and help identify new opportunities. It also helps to indicate challenges that we might not be able see today. Workshop is fully devoted to urban foresight. How does the process work? What tools do we use to implement it?
Map of Trends and Technologies
During the session, we will work on the matrix of trends and describe the most important challenges that affect our cities.
Discover Łódź – a city of masterful revitalization
Day 3. FORESIGHT
Using horizon scanning techniques, we will try to detect weak signals of changes related to the identified challenges for our cities. You will learn about many different methods that can help you identify significant socio-economic changes early in the process.
Tables of the future
During this session, you will look at the amazing results brought by this very simple method of public consultations. With a few tables set up in the public space, we will talk with citizens of Łódź about their perspective on the challenges we have diagnosed earlier.
Day 4. INNOVATIONS & CITIZENS
We will prototype our own i-lab – an innovative space in which you design and create new solutions for the city. An i-lab is a place for cooperation between public administration and other local government units, citizens and the private sector, through which you can improve municipal services, generate savings in the budget, while gaining the support of entrepreneurs and residents.
Smart city. The Game
In this part, we will play „Smart City. The Game” – a highly interactive tool for public consultations about modern technologies and their importance for urban life.
